Dennis McCarty - 2025 Legionnaire of the Year
At our 2025 Remembrance Day Banquet, Dennis McCarty was awarded Branch 54's Legionnaire of the Year Award. This award is given annually to a Branch 54 member who has made a significant contribution to the work of the Branch. Dennis has excelled in his work as the Renovations Committee Chair, in particular; and a contributing member of the Executive in general. Congratulations, Dennis.
Don Martin - Ontario Veterans Award for Community Service Excellence
At the 2025 Remembrance Day Banquet, we recognized the 2025 recipient of the Ontario Veterans Award for Community Service Excellence.
We are privileged to present this award to Don on behalf of the Province of Ontario and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 54 in recognition of his outstanding dedication and service to the community.
Don continues to exemplify the values of leadership, compassion, and civic responsibility.
Through countless hours of volunteer work, mentorship and advocacy, he has made a lasting impact on the lives of others and strengthened the fabric of our community.
This award recognizes not only Don’s contribution, but also the spirit of service that defines Ontario’s veterans. We thank them for their commitment and celebrate the legacy they continue to build.

Shop & Stop Dinners
On the last Friday of the month from September to May, the Branch 54 Ladies Auxiliary host a Shop & Stop Dinner.

Banner Program Honouring Veterans
Our Banner Program grows every year. We encourage those who have military veterans in their family to consider ordering a banner to honour them.
